We take comfort in knowing that Ken is with the Lord and is at peace and no longer suffering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ken, your family and all those who knew and loved Ken. Shelby, Steve & Evelyn
May God's peace be with you and your family Bev. My heart breaks for you all - you have been through so much. I am grateful to know you and thankful that you have shared this journey and have shown how important it is to let people in during the worst of times as well as the good times. Though I didn't know Ken well - you have both taught me so much. Thank you. Linda B
Bev, I am so sorry. Amy told me about Ken and the blog. I've been reading all day. I was reading here when he passed. Bev, your love is amazing. I'm weeping, and I never met Ken. Keep your faith. I will be praying for you. Mary Peacock (an old Bunco Babe)
Bev, You have been on our minds and in our prayers all weekend and especially today. We love you. God bless you and Ken and your family. Ken will be missed by all. -Amy, JT and the kids
When tears and heartbreak and pain and fear and sorrow paralyze.... I pray this little verse will bring some measure of peace & comfort to you and your family in this most difficult of times.
"Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, we are weak but He is strong...... Yes, Jesus loves me..... The Bible tells me so."
Dear Bev, May God be with you now and in the days ahead as you mourn Ken's passing. I have been blessed to know both you and Ken and I will always remember his resounding laugh. I remember after the flood we sang in a conga line in the sculpture garden. I remember the time we played cards at your house and laughed. I remember when Ken introduced me to his Mom. I remember when he hired the quartet to sing for you at Valentines. I remember and SMILE at ALL the memories I have of Ken. Someday the sweetness of ALL these memories will surpass the pain your soul is enduring now. May peace be with you, Stephanie, and your family. Love, Kendra
Bev, I know you're heart must be breaking, but somehow, some way, I am hoping you find peace. Peace in knowing that you did what Ken would have wanted, Peace in knowing how much your journey has touched so many lives in ways you can't imagine, Peace in feeling the love and prayers from people all across the country, Peace in reflecting over 20 wonderful years with the love of your life, and Peace in having such a loving family and support system around you. God bless and comfort you and your family now and forever more.
The end of a journey that should have never happened. But we never know what is in our future. Ken and I talked about YOLO so many times that now it almost seems trite. But for the rest of us...You Only Live Once! We need to make the most of the time we have left on this earth. Ken always agreed...with a Classic Coke in his hand. Enjoy life! God Bless...and always nice to know you have someone on your side up there! Joyce
Bev & Family, Ken will be missed by so many people. It was such a pleasure for me to be in both of your lifes. I will always remember his smile and his houmor. I will never forget the Valentines Day he picked my name out of the hat for the long stem red roses. I'm so sorry. Please when things settle down we need to get together. I will always be there for you any time day or night.
God took Ken but left all that knew him with great lessons. We have learned from him personally through his loving giving spirit. We have learned unexpected things like strength and determination and faith and compassion and love through following you and your family on this great journey. We are all here for you, Bev as you continue your own journey. We will always miss Ken, but we still need you in our lives. Bless your kind loving heart and all of your family.
Bev, I only knew Ken briefly, first simple "hello's" at LSC and finally conversations with him in the early morning hours when he dropped off the newspapers at the library, plus his trips back to the library to see his students. In this brief time, I could tell Ken enjoyed and loved life to the fullest. Ken will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Bev,
